In partnership with Arkhabil Association, Amalna Maroc expands and increases opportunities for rural women in Morocco through trainings and supporting women-run cooperatives in Azrou region.
2022 - 2023
Amalna Maroc helped connect more cooperatives with online world markets, improve their business and quality control skills, expand their knowledge of Fair Trade, and build a cooperative support network in the Mid Atlas Mountains.
2021 - 2021
While Morocco has 2,000+ women's cooperatives supported by the government for empowerment, research on their effectiveness is lacking.
This project will conduct field research to: measure empowerment outcomes of participation, compare empowerment levels between cooperatives, identify attributes of successful cooperatives, and determine factors contributing to both women's empowerment and financial sustainability.
